​Asif Nabi Dar hails from Samboora, a village in the Pampore area of Pulwama. At approximately 31 years old, he represents the “youth wave” currently making waves in the Union Territory’s regional politics.


Family: He is the son of Ghulam Nabi Dar.
​Education: He attended the Zaffran Public School in Samboora.
​Profession: Before entering formal politics, Dar established himself as a local businessman, a background that often informs his focus on economic development and local employment issues.

Political Career and Leadership
​Asif Nabi Dar’s entry into politics was marked by his role as a well-known social activist, where he frequently advocated for community-driven issues in Pampore and the wider Pulwama district.

​President of JKNDP: He serves as the Party President of the Jammu & Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP). In this capacity, he has been instrumental in driving the party’s vision, which focuses on “Viksit Jammu & Kashmir” (Developed J&K).
​Electoral Participation: In the 2024 Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections, Dar filed his candidacy for the Pulwama Assembly Constituency.
