This is a golden chapter in India’s democratic history that coming generations will always remember. For the past month, the nation’s promising students stood firm on the streets for their legitimate demands. Scorching heat, police batons, and administrative apathy could not shake their resolve. Finally, under the immense pressure of this nationwide movement—sparked by the NEET-UG paper leak controversy and the demand for examination reforms—Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has been forced to resign from his post.
As the President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP), I salute this unprecedented victory of our country’s conscious youth, student organizations, and aware citizens who staged a historic hunger strike for 26 days at Jantar Mantar. This is not the victory of any single political party, but the collective resolve and victory of truth for our country’s future—our students.
A Month-Long Struggle and Unwavering Determination of Students
When students began this fight a month ago, those sitting in the corridors of power thought this anger would fade away in a few days. But they forgot that when the future and hard work of youth are toyed with, they do not back down.

Whether through protests on the streets of Delhi or the solidarity of students across various states, this movement sent a clear message to the authorities that corruption or negligence regarding the future of the youth will not be tolerated.
The Road Ahead After the Resignation
Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is not the end of this fight, but the beginning of comprehensive examination reforms. As a political party, our demands are clear:
Transparent System: Immediate, strict, and transparent reforms in the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the country’s entire examination system so that the hard work of bright students does not go to waste.
Strict Action Against Culprits: The paper leak mafia and the real faces hidden behind this conspiracy must be given the strictest punishment so that no one dares repeat such acts in the future.
Proper Implementation of Computer-Based Test (CBT): The government’s decision to conduct future examinations in online mode must be executed with absolute fairness and security.
A Message to the Youth of Jammu and Kashmir
The Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP) has always advocated for the rights, employment, and better education of the youth. The peaceful and democratic manner in which youth from the valley to every corner of the country have raised their voices is truly exceptional.
