JKNDP President Asif Nabi Dar Urges Simplicity This Eid Ul Fitr Amidst Global Ummah Crisis

Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir — As the holy month of Ramadan nears its conclusion, Asif Nabi Dar, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Democratic Party (JKNDP), has issued a heartfelt appeal to the Muslim community across the region.

In a statement released today, Asif Nabi Dar requested that the upcoming festival of Eid-ul-Fitr be observed with profound simplicity and sobriety, citing the immense hardships and oppression currently faced by Muslims on a global scale.
Asif Nabi Dar Dar emphasized that while Eid is traditionally a time of joy and celebration, the current geopolitical climate demands a shift in focus from festivity to empathy.

”We cannot remain indifferent to the cries of our brothers and sisters across the globe,” Asif Nabi Dar Dar stated. “From the humanitarian crises in various regions to the systemic oppression of the Ummah, the pain is collective. Celebrating with extravagance while others are in mourning or under siege does not align with the true spirit of Islam.”

Avoid Extravagance: Minimize spending on lavish decorations, luxury clothing, and grand feasts.

Prioritize Charity (Zakat and Sadaqah): Redirect funds intended for celebrations toward helping the underprivileged, orphans, and those affected by conflict.

Focus on Prayer: Dedicate the day to special prayers (Dua) for the peace, safety, and liberation of oppressed populations worldwide.
Community Support: Visit those who have lost loved ones or are suffering, ensuring no one feels alone during the festival.

The JKNDP President noted that the essence of Eid-ul-Fitr lies in gratitude and spiritual discipline. By choosing simplicity, the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir can send a powerful message of unity and shared sorrow with the global Muslim community.
”Our strength lies in our character and our compassion for one another,” Asif Nabi Dar concluded. “Let this Eid be a testament to our resilience and our unwavering support for justice and humanity.”
